Pelješac, Dubrovnik area

  • Pelješac, the second-largest Croatian peninsula, stretches 65 km along the southern coast, from Stonska Prevlača to Cape Loviste, and is only 6 km wide. The peninsula features rocky hills, fertile valleys, olive groves, vineyards, and citrus trees. It is surrounded by numerous islands, with many located near the bay of Drace and Brijesta. Known for its sandy and pebbly beaches and secluded coves, Pelješac is also famous for Prapratno, Vučine, Vodice, Duba, Trstenica, Dingač, and Mirce beaches. Locals primarily engage in viticulture, olive farming, fishing, and tourism. Pelješac can be accessed by car via the main road, with ferry connections to Ploče, Korčula, and Mljet.
